come2gether.net

To make our market a conversation the EYCA developped the online community come2gether.net. It already runs in Germany and Switzerland but it is meant to become a large European community in which all EURO26 countries shall join in. The advantages of a community and its necessity for an up-to-date customer communication should be clear after reading the cluetrain theses. Besides the community supports the EURO26 aims

  • quality youth information, because it’s all about exchange of information, experiences, opinions etc.
  • youth mobility, beacause cardholders all over Europe can “visit” each other virtually, make new friends and keep up with old ones etc.
  • youth participation, because it encourages young people to state their point of view by taking part in discussions, writing a blog, experience cultural diversity on the net etc.

So, just contact the office to learn more about it.

Cluetrain manifesto

Did you already hear of the cluetrain manifesto? It’s a website claiming that a new powerful conversation has begun in the internet. And this conversation is why business is turning upside down. In the internet people have found voices that undermine the traditional command-and-control hierarchy that organizes most corporate marketing groups. “Markets are conversations” is the first one of 95 theses about how the internet changes marketing and PR. So, it’s a must to read this!

Using Discount Database

For small countries with just a few own discounts it is important to expose the european advantages. But it is not always easy to find best results, if you are not familiar with the use of the Discount Database query form. So here is a short manual how to use the Discount Database. Feel free to copy or adjust it for your website.

More than 200′000 discounts is really a lot and it’s not easy to find the ones that fit for you and your needs. To make the search easier, there is a Discounted Database on euro26.org with all european discounts. With the query form you can search for discounts, that are interesting for you. For best results we recommend the following steps for your search.

  1. First of all, just enter the country and the city you are going to travel to. In smaller towns you might already find interesting discounts. In the same way, you can find out, which discounts there are in towns near by and if you might use means of travel discounting the fare for EURO<26 members.

  2. In larger cities with many discounts you can refine your search results by filling out the category of discount you are looking for. If you have no or just a few results, try categories that are similiar to the first one. The classification of Guest House, hostel, hotel accommodation and “other” may be blurred.

  3. If you already know what you are looking for, simply enter a keyword. If you are looking for shopping discounts in Austria for instance, enter »shopping«. The database will display all discounts related to that keyword. Again, if you are not satisfied with the results, just try similiar search terms (eg shop, fashion, clothes etc.)

  4. Always have a look on the national EURO<26-site as well. There you may find more detailed information about the current discounts and campaigns.
